When I first tried this, I was very new to the craft beer scene, and I’ve since had a lot of top notch brews. This is still really good, just not as good as more authentic hefe’s. Cheers!

Apr 12, 2008 I am a fan of wheat beer, so when I had the opportunity to try this one I was quite excited. Somewhat similar to Leinenkugel’s sunset wheat in taste. Mild citrus notes with a definitive wheat aftertaste that diminishes quickly. Overall not bad, but I would not buy again.

Apr 11, 2008 wow. i usually dont like the stuff that Flying Dog has come out with, so i approached this one with a good bit of trepidation. boy, they make some crappy stuff, but this beer was a pleasant surprise. pours dark gold with some retaining lacy head. smell is strong of breadiness and citrus, some grassyness. taste at first is fairly clean without the overt hoppiness of most of their brews. light and lemony. then after a few seconds on the palette, suddenly a wave of spice and fruit hits your taste buds. not sure if was a random thing or what, but it was quite impressive. not a normal hefe, but an interesting beer nonetheless.

Apr 10, 2008 12 ounce bottle- pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a weak stark white head. Aroma was slightly rancid, and the taste flat and doughy with a slight hint of honey. See ol’ Sam Adams for a proper hefeweizen. Won’t buy this one again.

Apr 9, 2008 Bottle from Bier Koning. Nice creamy orange body with healthy head. Peachy nose. Good hefeweizen with taste of marsepin, citrus, orange, and lots of banana. Finish a bit flat but a nice beer altogether.

Apr 8, 2008 Pours a cloudy honey with very little head. Just a bit of white lacing. Aroma is wheat and citrus fruits. Flavor is quite yeasty with undertones of citrus mixed with apple. Body is light with fair carbonation. Would be a decent go to Hefe.

Apr 8, 2008 Bottle. Aroma has citrus and yeast. Tastes slightly fruity but very refreshing. Exactly what I would expect out of a hefeweizen.

As I recall, this was an average wheat with tones of sweet fruit and spice. Not my favorite hefeweizen.
