Sweet smell of sour grain and fruit with a bit of hops. Unique flavor, very sweet and fruity just like it smells. Its not bad but its no weizen. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Aroma of banana, honey, clove, cinnamon and some other spices along with some hay. Pour yields an average sized, frothy white head that goes away pretty quickly. Color is a light, muddy, golden hue. Flavor is nice, and very sweet up front. Finish is spicy and ever so slightly sour. Long duration. Mouthfeel is watery with lively carbonation. Pretty decent Hefe. GMCC2181 (883), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA

Taste a little fruity but as the description said a "spicy" after taste which I was not expecting. Maybe some nutmeg. Smooth as well. Differenent but good. IlanMan (850), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Very good flavor for a wheat beer. Had some fruit flavored after-tones. Wasn’t watery like many other lesser quality wheat beers I have had. I would drink again but wouldn’t go out of my way to buy. Good Hefeweizen. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA

Beer poured opague yellow with a little head and little lacing. Aroma was strong banana and cloves. The flavor was likewise with a solid wheat base, bananas (and a touch of other citrusy fruits maybe?) and cloves. Add in a touch of pepper and a faint bubble gum like flavor. Very light and refreshing. A nice beer for the summertime. Finally a beer from Flying Dog that I would like to drink again! Atlove (36), USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 30, 2008 In-Heat Wheat pours a hazy sunrise yellow. The head is generous but disappears quickly. Lots of wheat and banana, with a spicy and citrus finish. Different and kind of Americanized, but drinkable. BigDavesBwg (22), Greenville, South Carolina, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Having spent time in Europe, I have had several real hefeweizens. This ain’t one. The literal translation of the term hefeweizen is "yeast wheat". Traditionally unfiltered, the beers are cloudy with a bananna aroma, and a good malt backbone to balance out the aroma. This beer had only a slight haze that indicated some kind of filtration, and poured a 1/4" head that vanished in seconds. No lacing, few tracers. This beer would be ok for someone who has never had a true hefeweizen. If they decide they like the style, then they could move on to true hefe beer
