Poured a cloudy golden yellow with a thick foamy white head. A wheat and citrus aroma. A nice crisp taste of citrus with a subtle lingering bite and bitterness. A very mild flavor. shanepardue (107), Raytown, Missouri, USA

It was little better than a mainstream beer, honestly. Good colors and head, but something is just not quite right with this beer. BlackForestCO (828), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Poured from a bottle. Poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma of banana and spices. Flavor starts with the banana/spice combination, but it leads into a yeasty bacon taste that is overpowering. Every time I try it I hope the bacon taste won’t be there, but it always is. Hance07 (192), DownSouth, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2007 The scent is a mix of spice and banana. The flavor is more of the same with a strong yeast presence. A good hefeweizen but this style is far from my favorite. Slipstream (780), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Another wild label from Flying Dog. This is a fairly sour, but still pretty tasty hefeweizen. There is a strong yeast presence and nice carbonation. Not bad for an American hefeweizen, but there are others out there I would take over this one. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 24, 2007 From a bottle. pours a hazy yellow with some sediment still stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Smell of wheat and some lemon. Did not enjoy the taste of this beer. Just somethin about it..I can’t describe it..the taste of this hefeweizen just wasn’t something I liked. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Appearance is very nice, it even had a good supply of yeast at the bottom of the bottle so that when I poured it it looked cloudy and perfect. A cloudy yellow with a thin little head.
Smell is pretty good, a deep sweet flavor with orange and lemon flavors. So far the best wheat beer outside of Germany that’s not Aventinus.
Taste is sweet vanilla and orange and lemon, very nice.
Mouthfeel is smooth.
