Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Nice cloudy golden color, bready and strong banana esters. Very good job from Flying Dog.

Head comes and goes before I can say pancakes. Body is slightly cloudy, but mostly pale. Aroma is hella of bananas. Tastes is bready with banana and a little bit of a spicy touch.

I am not a Hefe guy, but this is pretty good. Banana and bread in a bottle. Nice and cloudy like a Hefe should be.

Bottle Hazy golden pour with a white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, and a bit of yeast. Flavor follows with more fruity flavor. I’m not a hefe guy, but this was pretty good for a hefe.

Hazy gold with white head. Aroma of bananas. Wheat and banana flavor reminding me of hometown Schlafly #15.

12 oz bottle purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Slightly hazy golden color. Head was bubbly and white with good retention, but only minimal lacing. Aroma was of clove, citrus, cereal grain, and caramel. Slightly sweet up front with dominant clove disguising the malty/wheaty backbone. These flavors give way to delicate citrus, but the clove returns at the end and lingers with a touch of sweetness.

Poured from bottle....nice cloudy yellow. Head not there but a wonderful sweet aroma...aroma of bannana and lemon...tastes sweet and metallic thought...the metallic is a turn off. Not the worst wheat in the world...although not impressive thanks to the metallic.

12oz bottle @ Old Chicago. Hazy golden with a small fizzy white head that has almost no retention. Aroma has banana, burnt plastic, lemon, and a hint of old moldy wheat. Flavor has more of the moldy wheat With just a hint of banana and a little bit of citrus, minimal bitterness. Low carbonation with a light to medium body. Kinda crappy.
