Lemon fruit aroma. Golden coloured and hazy in appearance. Creamy on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry wheat finish. drowland (1418), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 24, 2009 A decent beer that places a lot of emphasis on the wheat without showcasing that much of the hefe yeast characteristics. italianjohn (382), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2009 I was pumped to try this one but it was pretty dissapointing. Poured a cloudy orange with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Not much for aroma and the taste was slightly sour Tasted like a hefeweizen/belgian white mix. bburychka (55), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 19, 2009 Has more flavor than almost any other hefeweizen that I’ve had. Flying Dog beers are impressing me (and I’ve only tried two so far). yemenmocha (421), Glendale, Arizona, USA

Nose has a lot of citrus and fresh bread aromas. Very nice.
On the palate a pleasant, dry wheat cracker taste at first followed by faint banana and some clove. I think the wheat is doing more in this beer than the yeast does, or the yeast should I guess (the nice banana clove). But still, a very impressive beer.
Body is medium, perhaps on the full side for a hefe. Definitely thicker than most weizens, and so I’d say a tad less on the drinkability scale. On a hot summer day this thirst quencher will fill you up quickly. jerohen (1615), Bussum, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2009 On draft at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Yellow coloured, white head. Banana nose. Banana wheat flavour, quite ok initially but it has an odd cloyingly sweet finish. An attempt to make a Hefeweizen, but not a very good one.
