Pour was a clear, cider amber with a thin beige head. Nose was rock candy, hops, bubble gum, and a bit of spice. Taste is hoppy and bitter with a light sweet taste that creeps in, to linger along with the bitterness. Not crazy about this one. It’s not terrible, but when a beer is this bitter, there has to be a lot more going on before I can truly enjoy it. I would pick this over Budweiser, but that is not saying much. Clear copper colour with small off-white head.
Sweetish spiced aroma with some maltiness.
Ashy bitter hoppiness with notes of nuts, caramel and some spices.
Decent seasonal brew but once a year is enough. TreborWhip (87), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet malty smell. Taste was slightly sweet with hints of citrus and a medium hop finish that lingered on your tongue. Vaiz (66), Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Pours a beautiful clear amber with a thick, creamy, foamy head with some lacing. Aroma is sharp and of grains, coriander, malt and citrus(rasp). Taste is very bitter, but also a bit sweet. Unique and different indeed. Not my favorite, but worthy of credit. Medium carbonation. Quite short bitter finish. rocbyter (914), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Not bad, but there are better Winter Warmers out there.
Apperance was nice, poured a reddish brown with a figer or so of foam. The head lasted for some time. Looked tasty
Aroma, ale yeast was present, along with some fruit, cherry and current.
Initially the taste is fruity with the cherry and current flavors coming through, a nice balanced hop flavor is clear throughout the taste (I would assume Northern Brewer or Bullion hops). The balance of the initial flavors is overshawdowed on the back in by strong ale yeast flavors.
Mouthfeel is normal, and the drinkability is somewhat lower than expected.
Avery Old Jubilation is a very similar beer in flavor, but much better in my opinion.
