Draft at Cockney Pub, Aarhus. Orange-ruby hazy body, small white diminishing head. Nice malty aroma with a hoppy citrus finish. Medium/thin body.

Sweet air-freshener and soft malt aromas. Soft carbonation. Thin sweetness, simple burntness and hoppiness, and a touch of sherbet. Tacky and unsophisticated. Some ginger there too, some raw hops, presumably Amarillo, but on the whole this is a bit of a mess. I wish american brewers would not make such bad attempts to mimic english beer styles. It is not an English Strong Ale, call it an American Messed-Up Ale instead, please.

Bottle. Pours a ruby color with a large, light brown head and a clear body. Aromas of roasted malts, pine, and wood. Thin body and texture on the mouthfeel, but long duration with heavy bitterness afterwards. I have had much better beers from Flying Dog.

Tap. Clear dark amber body wih a little off-white head. Nose of malt and fruit. Sweet flavour with malt, fruit and spicy notes. Pleasant and more bitter finish.

12oz bottle from VinensVerden, Odense. Pours clear copper/amber with a creamy small head on top. Nose is malty caramel/toffee - mostly sweet & inviting. Medium bodied. Taste has some dry bitterness which compliments the dark fruits & chewy maltyness well. Very drinkable!

Amber in color. Malty aroma with a hint of cocoa. Slightly bitter. Caramel and earthy hops dominate the taste with a hint of dark fruit. Not bad.

Bottled. Clear, darkish amber with a small, lightly lacy head. Aroma of british-style, nutty hops, and toffeeish malt. Toffee-malty flavor with dried fruit, grassy-nutty-aromatic hops, and faint cardboardy-vegetably hints. Medium, slightly thin body with a bit fizzy, lowish carbonation. A drinkable, but not very interesting brew. Thin for a winter ale, and slightly unclean.
