Average fizzy head that has a off-white color. Fair lacing with a sparkling clear body. Medium amber color. A kind of sour milk in the initial flavor. Moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied with a dry texture. Lively carbonation. Overall not the best Flying Dog beer out there. faroeviking (6128), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2008 12 oz. Clear and dark garnet. A small, lasting foam leaves a nice frosting on the glass. Cocoa, split wood and caramel apple aromas. Flavors of caramel apple and cherry liqueur are dried well by a woody-hop finish. Near-medium body is lightly carbonated and finishes dry. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2008 Pours a nice amber color with thin head. Very malty aroma...hints of caramel and toffee. Flavor is decent...more caramel and toffee, with a hint of hops. Finish is very sweet, more then normal for a English Strong Ale. Alcohol a bit weak. BeerBaron617 (313), Novi, Michigan, USA

YAY!! alright, onto the rating:) This pours a crimson brown with an offwhite fluffy head. It’s aroma is smokey, and malty. It’s flavor is quite malty and bitter, with some woody notes. I think this is a fine winter beer, worthy of at least an 80 overall. Cheers!
