Clear amber brown with thin head. Smell is doughy burning malt. Taste is slightly rind-like, it has a distinctive dirt flavor to me. Can taste the alcohol in it as well. Mouthfeel is actually decent - not too thin or watery - but average. Drinkable, but not wonderful. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Good carbonation with a insightful bittering taste of hops. A good stable ale. santos999 (318), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Kinda unattractive red body with a thin tan head. Smells like buttered toast, covered in molasses and sugar, held by a hand that was just holding old pocket change. The taste, though, is firmly malt accented, almost like a super traditional low grav Old Ale. Peppery spiciness, molasses, honey, roastiness, and chocolate. Honestly a quite tasty beer, but I’m not big on the smell. Also, the aftertaste gets a bit medicinal after it warms a little. Meh, not bad, not great. discbanshee (5), Alabama, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Flying Dog has done it again. The K-9 cruiser is a great hoppy beer that goes down clean and crisp. Has a nice deep amber color and a strong wheat taste. Has an initial sweetness that ends with a great bitter taste that stays on the tongue without being overwhelming. douglas88 (1670), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

The aroma and taste are both really light and don’t stand out. I don’t dislike this beer in any way, it’s just hard to say what is there. Some fruit and malts, also some light hops. Decent. ekstedt (2447), Göteborg, Sweden

Deep reddish copper with a medium beige head. Fruity and nutty malt aroma, with a belgian caramelly touch, and hints of cherries, along with earthy and herbal hops. Still a bit one-dimensional. Medium bodied and smooth. A bit sweet with a moderate bitterness in the finish. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Malt and spices in the nose typical of the style. Taste is a touch of cardboard stale malt like flavor. Toasty, spiced malt as well. Thin flavor and body and some metallic notes. Drinkable but unremarkable.
