Pours a dark brown color with a white head. Some lacing. Hints of malt, caramel, some hops, a lot of spice, and a touch of dark sweet fruits. Finishes medium bodied with a sweet spice on the tongue.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark amber/chestnut color with tan foam. Aroma smells a bit like apple cider. Very sweet and fruity with a good touch of malts and lots of apples. Flavor is very fruity at the start that leads to a sweet and smooth middle and a very fizzy and bitter finish. Could use some more body.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear amber color with a small pale tan head that mostly melts away, leaving a ring of bubbles and some lacing. Aroma and taste are of strong malt with some dark fruit and alcohol notes. Not well balanced. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. Ending is watery and dirty.

Bottle: Clear deep orange copper color with a thin white head, aroma has rich dark fruits and berries, medium bodied with mellow carbonation and a slick mouthfeel, starts and ends lightly sweet. One of Flying Dog’s better beers.

Bottled. Dark rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige creamy head. Aroma is plum, hops and grass in a not too wellbalanced mix. Flavour is pretty much the same, but more balanced and pleasant than the aroma.

Mahogany pour, moderate head with average lacing and retention. Aroma is English style with actually some berry notes. Medium to light body with a somewhat sweet finish. Enjoyable but kinda boring.
