Clear amber colour, medium-sized off-white head. Sweetish malty aroma with a whiff of hops. The flavour is caramel-malty, with a nice hoppy finish.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear deep amber/chestnut colour, dense off white head. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, light spice and some caramel. Flavour is sweet, malty, citrus, light caramel, some spice, hoppy grapefruit bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not really a winter/christmas beer to European standards, just an IPA with a touch of spice. Nice one though.

Not sure why it is a seasonal, unless that was the slot available. Pretty average effort. Decent enough malty nose. But a veritable mishmash until the hops closes things out with a piney snap.

A clear amber pour with off-white head. It has a caramel malt and floral hop aroma. The body starts smooth and semi-sweet and finishes bitter.

Bottle. Clear orange beer with a small white head. A bit caramelly malty and hoppy aroma. Flavor is sweet malts and flowery hops. Medium body. Not bad for a bier but doesnt’ remind me of christmas which for this is selled here.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 11/15/09

Aroma: Fairly faint nose, some mild caramel and toffee, and a drop of hops
Appearance: Pours a clear, dark orange color with a fizzy off-white head
Flavor: Taste is malty at first with some hop bite/bitterness near the conclusion
Palate: A somewhat light body with a relatively dry finish and a longish duration
Overall Impression: This is a decent beer, but it is little underwhelming. I feel like a lot more could have been done with this beer fairly easily to make it a whole lot better. It’s somewhat dull until the hop bite that concludes the palate, which really doesn’t do quite that much to make this beer standout either. It’s not bad, it’s not great, it’s just kind of there. I certainly wouldn’t say don’t drink it, but you can probably do better.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Nice clear amber body with thin head. Skunky nose of malts. Nice taste of caramel and malts with serious hoppy bite midway that ends in dry finish. Very nice.

This one poured a ruby red to brown color with an off white head. Aroma was caramel, some toffe, soem alcohol and roasted notes. Flavor was slightly roasted pale malts and some caramel, fairly bland but easy drinking.
