| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2007 Pours a clear ruby/orange color with a medium white head that has pretty good staying power. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma has notes of citrus and spice, along with some dark fruit. Medium-bodied with earthy malt, spice and fruit flavors. The finish is mildly bitter with a sweet malt aftertaste. Even though it is one of Flying Dog’s better offerings, that isn’t saying a whole lot. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 20, 2007 Courtesy of HogTownHarry. The aroma is mostly lightly-sweet malt and a decent dose of hops. The body is a dark amber/copper and holds a diminishing, thumb thick head, that is tan and initially very nice looking. Fore is dry with a very nice mouthfeel, malt and grains with a smattering of bitterness from hops and a faint toasty sweetness in the finish. Fairly enjoyable quaff. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Pours dark amber brown with a small white head. Mostly caramel malt aroma, with a light hint of hops. Flavor is similar, but not as sweet as the aroma suggests, and also a bit roasty. Palate is medium, lightly bitter, and a bit of sharp carbonation. Pretty much like every other Flying Dog, easy to drink, but nothing special. Delirium (502), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Updated: Mar 8, 2007Bottle. Pours dark amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is mainly caramel, with some zest and dark fruits. Flavor is caramel but not particularly sweet, with a bit of spiciness and hints of citrus, and earthy hops and some alcohol in the finish. The palate is a bit odd. Decent, but flavor is a bit weak and doesn’t hold together all that well. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2007 A brown pour with an amber hint almost no head but some lace. An aroma of roasted malt and not much more. A sweet flavor of that same malt with a nice all over bitter finish. A medium palate not really thin or way over carbonated but off. A decent beer. madsberg (5065), Søborg, Denmark
