Bottle from Utobeer. Dark ruby colouor with thin beige head. Bit of dark treacle, bit of boiled sweet. Hoppy finish. Some dark malts choc/coffee run throughout. A good English style ESB. Hey I thought of that all by myself and then I come to add it and look at the style and it is down as an English Strong Ale. After 1390 beers, I am finally starting to get the hang of this tasting beers business.

Dark brown translucent pour with no head to speak of. Aroma of malts with almost a sweet syrupy odor. The flavor was malty and I detected very little hop — sweet fruits, a bit of caramel, prune. The finish presented a slight tartness and a hint of bitterness. Thin to medium body and comfortable palate.

Found a six pack of this at a Publix in Kingsland, Georgia while I was making a run for Mega Millions lottery tickets. Apparently if the beer doesn’t have a red label or Dale Jr.’s face on it, they won’t buy it. This was a total score. Poured a very dark amberish brown with a diminishing white head. Taste was rich and malty without being overpowering. Would not have known this beer was this good. Nice finish. A very good beer, will buy this again.

Ruby colour with a small, disappearing head. Has an aroma of sweet caramels, with sweet malty flavour and not too bitter finish. Overall an ejoyable beer.

Dark copper body, good-sized frothy/creamy light tan head. Aroma has some candy-like spicy hops, some bready rye. Flavor is a decent citrus pulp hop, along with some fruit, toasted caramel and rye which brings up the sweetness a little too much. Its not bad... decent balance, a little sour twang... but okay.
