Dark, reddish brown beer with weak beige head. Aroma is malty, grassy hopped, slightly sweet and stuffy. Flavour is malty, some roastiness and the end is like typical lager and quite dry. Quite easy to drink. Uninspirated and stuffy beer, my expectaions can’t be fullfilled with this beer. I will not buy this anymore.

Clear Filtered body, amber, thin white head, mild lace, aroma is toffee malts, rye spice and mild hop spice, flavor is big and bold, heavy handed bitter addition backs up the rye spice for a huge flavor punch, refreshing. Bold roast, much roastier than others in this style, almost an american brown ale in terms of flavor. I’m really enjoying this ale, best I’ve had from Flying Dog

Draft from Ginger Man. Poured a medium orange. Aroma was hops, taste was biscuity/toffee, with nice hops finish. Good stuff.

Dark coppery colored with little thick yellow head. Caramelly-chocolaty aroma with strong hops, some skunky glue note also comes up. Medium bodied. Flavor is also chocolaty in start, some lemon also comes up. Aftertaste is hopped with lemon and bitter grass also, same glue-petrolic note lasts.

Bottle. Amber colour with a medium off-white head. Malty aroma with hints of nuts and hops. The flavour is sweet, malty, spicy, nutty and fruity. Medium-bodied and slightly bitter aftertaste.

Liked it. Good looking amber with a small lacing head. Not a big aroma, mostly bread, yeast but faint. Nice and bitter taste with a nice hop hit. Clean and refreshing finish.

12OZ bottle, bought @de bierkoning in Amsterdam. Deep reddish copper with a medium beige head. Fruity and nutty malt aroma, with a belgian caramelly touch, and hints of cherries, along with earthy and herbal hops. Still a bit one-dimensional. Medium bodied and smooth. A bit sweet with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Not the best flying dog.

Caramel syrup and spicy nose. Clear copper color, medium dense soapy head. Richly bittersweet caramel grass, almost some bitter orange, nicely balanced. Solid carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, medium body, nice warming, malty spicy warming finish. Just an all around nicely done beer, not terribly complex, but what is expressed is expressed extremely well.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a red copper with a medium soapy white head and an aroma of light malts, dusty hops and some unripe fruits. The flavor is not too malty, but really nice and interesting. Some, but not too much, nice hops in the finish. A nice one.
