Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is faint light malts and spice. Taste is fairly light as well, but of light malts with a slight bitter finish and slight fruity notes. Not bad.

(Rating #2102)

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a tiny white head, that diappears quickly. Nose of Citrus, yeast and caramel.Sweet flavour with fruit, caramel and spices. Medium bodied. Ends up more dry with a somewhat medical taste. Not the most tasty from flying dog.

Honey golden robe, completely clear yet with small sediments. The head quickly disappears. Spicy yeast aroma with noticeable maltiness for a tripel. Sweetness to come and it comes indeed, but is not as bad as anticipated. Instead manages to stay on a banana bread, coriander and herbal range of flavours which don’t evolve a lot, but go in smoothly, with almost no trace of alcohol at all. Light-bodied and not so engagingly carbonated, but competent cerealic pils malt and lasting yeasty finish. Not a bad tripel, probably better than I expected.

Clear golden bubbling look with a fast diappearing white head. Aroma is vague with some sweetfruit notes, alchohol and grassy hops. Simpel flavor that reminds me of a strong lager! Mainly alchohol with some sweet fruity esters to give away the style. Very disappointing though.

Pours a very disappointing clear light gold. Tastes like a watered down Duvel. Not bad, actually has a nice sharp hoppy sugar flavor, but is not what I expected. Really I am being to hard on it, and I think it is an ok triple, but I just drank a Rochefot 8 I guess I am spoilt. Try it?

12 oz bottle. Poured with a nice crisp white head which immediately collapsed., though leaves some lacy. Golden orange, haze for color. Smells of spice and cloves, as well as a faint alcohol and citrus. Taste is spice, sweet, cloves, alcohol, some banana bread. Nice rich mouth feel.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours hazy yellow with a bubbly white head that lingers for a while and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is sweet with Belgian yeast and has the nice spiciness of a tripel. There are also some fruity hops in the background as well. The taste follows the aroma but with a more definitive alcohol presence than the aroma would suggest. There are some spices in the the finish but the taste is dominated from start to finish by the big light fruitiness that dominated the aroma as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of carbonation and very smooth. This is a pretty (surprisingly) good effort at a tripel from Flying Dog.
