| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Clear golden bubbling look with a fast diappearing white head. Aroma is vague with some sweetfruit notes, alchohol and grassy hops. Simpel flavor that reminds me of a strong lager! Mainly alchohol with some sweet fruity esters to give away the style. Very disappointing though. ajwilliams (118), , Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Pours a very disappointing clear light gold. Tastes like a watered down Duvel. Not bad, actually has a nice sharp hoppy sugar flavor, but is not what I expected. Really I am being to hard on it, and I think it is an ok triple, but I just drank a Rochefot 8 I guess I am spoilt. Try it? fdr137 (32), , New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured with a nice crisp white head which immediately collapsed., though leaves some lacy. Golden orange, haze for color. Smells of spice and cloves, as well as a faint alcohol and citrus. Taste is spice, sweet, cloves, alcohol, some banana bread. Nice rich mouth feel. GAManiac (1193), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 30, 2008 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours hazy yellow with a bubbly white head that lingers for a while and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is sweet with Belgian yeast and has the nice spiciness of a tripel. There are also some fruity hops in the background as well. The taste follows the aroma but with a more definitive alcohol presence than the aroma would suggest. There are some spices in the the finish but the taste is dominated from start to finish by the big light fruitiness that dominated the aroma as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of carbonation and very smooth. This is a pretty (surprisingly) good effort at a tripel from Flying Dog. pj1855 (157), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Aroma of banana, spice, bread and some hops coming through. Flavor starts off sweet and ends with a little bitterness from the hops. Syrupy mouthfeel with a dry finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Pours a slightly-hazed orange tea into the glass, with a minimal sudsy head that diminishes to nothing, including lace. Some vinous and aerated sugary aromas, a bit underdone. Sweet flavors, almost based on sugar, rather than malt contingencies. Alcohol is noted, along with some bread/dough in the mid- to back-palate. The finish just closes on much the same. ABV is still noted lingering with a tiny burn. Not a very complex Abby Tripel, and lacking in structure and construction to make it a top-shelf offering. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of sugar, malts, alcohol, some fruitiness. Flavour is sweet, malty, with just a little hint of sour- and bitterness. Finish is a little alcoholbitter. Mediumbodied. Sweetness sticks, becomes cloying towards the end. OK, but no more than that.
