[bottle at EBF 2008] Aroma is like filtered apple juice (from concentrate) with some jalapeno, yeast, and a touch of base malt. Bright gold with a white ring. Nice spicy musty Belgian tripel with not too much sugar. Almost witbier herbal notes: apples and oranges and coriander and parsley. Sweetness is almost balanced by an herbal and woody bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, sweet and bitter finish.

Pours orange with a white head that dissapears almost instantly. Aroma is of hops, spice, and sugars. Taste was bitter, with overpowering spice, balanced with the sugars and hops. Strong presence of alcohol. Nice lingering hop flavors make up for the spice flavors that dominate this beer. Wouldn’t have it a second time.

Bottle, in the park. Golden, small fading head. Sweetish, honey and brewing mash nose, little alcohol and grassy hops. Strongly alcoholic, perry fruity flavor, sweet honey, little fruity hops in the boozy finish. Medium to full bodied, low carbonation. Put it in a paper bag and hit the streets!
