Aroma of vanilla, spices, some coriander, and resins with hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is fizzy, flavor also has coriander and some spicy hops. Not the best Tripel, and below average for this brewery. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light orange gold. Little to no head and no lacing. Pretty light for a triple but very drinkable. Nice sweetness and a touch of spice. Not quite like other tripels, pretty simple, not much complexity...almost reminded me of a wheat beer. Aside from that I am a big fan of the overall flavor and the brew. MoritzF (5029), Bochum, Germany
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 31, 2009 35.5cl bottle; Hazy, golden colour with a short blond foamy head. Sweet and juicy, moderately fruity malty (pears, mango) aroma with spicy and hoppy notes. Bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied with a flat carbonation. Pale malty, slightly bready and restrained fruity taste with harsh bitter hoppy and spicy tones; bitter and slightly sweet malty finish with a sharp alcoholic note. A rough example of the style. 31.VIII.09 ben4321 (1049), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2009 Location: 7 oz bottle from King Farm, 8/28/09
Aroma: Sugary and malty, some citrus fruits, really faint at first but opens up a bit as it warms
Appearance: Clear orange color, thin white head
Flavor: Bit of a tangy, bready, sweet flavor, similar to the nose in character but not as high quality
Palate: A bit on the light side, fizzy, metallic, and watery (what made the difference between 2 & 3)
Overall Impression:
At first whiff I was thinking this wouldn’t get a great score, after a sip or two and allowing it to breathe for a few minutes, it certainly improved on the nose side. Even then, it is just alright for me, nothing too special. I didn’t dislike it, but if you are going to call a beer a tripel I need more complexity then this.

Floral and malt aromas. Clear golden coloured rich on the palate and strong in alcohol with a crisp and bitter lasting malt finish.
