| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 24, 2009 I’ve been spoilt with the quality of the beers I’ve drunk from the US recently, saw this and thought it must be good. It wasn’t. Very orange with a slight red tint, very loud and fizzy white head that died to nothing in seconds. Just tasted like a strong lager to me. Quite malty, little spice and biscuit. Rating as a tripel, I wasn’t impressed, judged alone on it’s merits, I didn’t like it. lamas (733), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2009 7 oz. bottle. Vintage: 08 EE. Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a thin off-white head. Candied sugar, vanilla, bubblegum, and some bananas in the aroma. Medium-bodied and semi-syrupy. The flavor starts off sweetly with lots of candied sugar. Some spiciness follows. Crisp, dry, grainy finish with a touch of citrus. Warming alcohol and vanilla are present throughout. nerdrocker101 (102), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden, orange body with a moderate bubbly head. A light aroma of citrus and spice. Flavors of bread, sweet citrus, spice notes and light alcohol. Sweet and somewhat spicy overall. A light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. I found this to be very drinkable, maybe not the world’s greatest triple, but I enjoyed it. tennessejed420 (100), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours orange gold body with a fizzy white head, pretty typical looking for a trippel. smells of alcohol, clove, orange. taste did not taste as spicy as your normal trippel, actually really kind of tasted like a hefe. yeasty alcoholic aftertaste. yep, this really does just taste like a hefeweissen. overall not bad at all, but not great for a tripel. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Bottled, courtesy Narnad. Mildly hazy orange with a small, off-white head that is quickly and mostly diminishing. Toffee nose, some fruity (peach) notes with brown sugar and a nip of alcohol. Moderate malt flavor, some grainy wheat with definite metallic flavors (copper pennies). Finish is mildly sweet, mildly alcoholic. Fairly light palate, leave the fine carbonation. drowland (1432), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
