Tmoney99 (3503), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 14, 2008 Bottle from Root Cellar. Poured clear orange color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate yeasty, citrus & spice aroma. Medium body. Medium yeasty sweet flavor with a medium sweet and small alcohol finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.
jgb9348 (1817), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Aug 21, 2008 Nice hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, curacao and a tiny bit of banana. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malty flavour with yeast qualities and a potent sweetness riding on top of the other flavours. Aftertaste long and wheatie - some yeast as well. Overall, a decent beer, not a great trip, but still worth trying if you can find this! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Kybecca in Fredericksburg, Virginia on 31-May-2008, sampled on 20-August-2008 at home in Washington, D.C. hughie (2150), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Aug 20, 2008 Gold with a white head. Delectable sweet aroma doesn’t quite carry its promise into the taste, which is malty and spicy with a hint of cognac, but which just doesn’t quite seem to have the required body. A little dryness at the end. It’s good but not great. 1_2many (194), Ohio, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. After being extremely impressed by Gonzo this one let me down. Clear golden with a pathetic head. This resembled a bad lager. Aroma was very light malt, grassy, and very weak. Flavor is simply sweet without anything else. Easily drinkable, but why when it lacks so much. fredandboboflo (440), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of grassy herbs, herbal citrus. Flavor spicy with grassy hops and a continuing herbal quality. Pretty good beer. I went in with low expectations but am now a bit surprised to see it clock in at a mere 3.1. Monger (454), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of spices, yeast, toffee and malt. Taste is semi-sweet and spicy with a hint of bread dough on the tongue. Slight metallic aftertaste. The alcohol is well hidden and has a slight bitter finish.
