MaltDawg (289), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 25, 2008 12 oz bottle at Capital Ale House Downtown. Vintage 08AA. Clear golden with no head. Carmelized malts and candi sugar with some spicey yeast character in the nose. Body is quite full and syrupy sweet. Touch of bannana and clove in the flavor with moderate spicey hop bitterness. Finish is sweet with bit of alchohol warming.

Pours crystal clear light gold. Headless, with a musty and mossy nose. Medium, somewhat oily body. Basement, foot, and moss on the mid-palate. Bitter clove and rubbing alcohol on the finish. Very bitey there at the end. daknole (683), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 This is a pretty damn good productin by the FDB. Pours a nice gold color with a really ncie fluffy head. Aroma of yeast and more yeast, with some malt and fruit as well. Flavor is yeasty, smooth and creamy and a tad sweet. Very light and fluffy in the mouth. I would drink this again. VTHopHead (670), Barre, Vermont, USA Aug 24, 2008 bottle - Poured a golden amber in color with a small white head that faded to nothing quickly. Aroma is of Belgian yeast and slightly sweet malts... some clove/banana... nice. Hint of yeasty sourness, Fruity esters. Flavor is more than slightly sweet... lots of Belgian yeast, clove/banana spiciness and orange. Alcohol is definitely apparent, but not overwhelming. OK,but not great...a little rough for the style...
