Malty aroma with suggestions of flowers. Toasted malt and slight chocolate flavor. Not a whole lot of personality but that’s to be expected from this style. TipsyAfter2 (15), Michigan, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Aroma is of pale malts but there is something off as there is a rubbery smell as well. Pours light brown and amber with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Taste is sweet, malts are prevalent. The balance on this beer is off between malts and hops, left with lingering aftertaste of burnt toast because theres no hops to balance the malts. Not a good amber lager, not a good steam beer either. markas101 (597), Fargo, North Dakota, USA

Medium bodied, quite subdued flavor with some sweetness, bread/yeastiness and a slightly peppery finish. Very drinkable. stchloe (491), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2009 12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours clear copper with off-white head. Aroma is lager malts and some light caramel and nuts. Flavor is caramel malt, some nuts and touch of hops. Pour mouthfeel and is a bit watery. Maybe a good brew for somebody looking for more than a macro but poor by craft beer standards. Not bad tasting just brings nothing to the table in terms of flavor. ewestern (198), Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Thin off white head that leaves some lacing stands stop an amber-copper colored beer. Aroma had more hops than expected but mostly subtle malts. Taste is the same with a spicy bitterness to it. The combination of malts and hops do not seem to mesh well together but the flavor remains pleasant. A nice freshness to the aftertaste surprised me given the bitterness and bite of the beer and finish. coldbrewky (741), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Bottle brought home by the wife. I must state for a woman who does not like beer and hardly drinks a drop of alcohol, she’s the greatest for bringing me home beers that I havent had....even if some of them are crap. This one overall wasnt too bad. Pours a lovely umberish amber with a thin head. Syrupy nose is whispy and not overpowering. some hints of apples as well. Body is light to medium and quite quick..tart aftertaste is actually longer in duration. Malts are overall metallic and muddled. Not terribly bad.
