This is a pretty good amber ale. Malts are prominent, with a slightly metallic tasting finish.

Pours deep amber with red tints, with a 1 finger beige head that fades quickly but leaves a thin layer for the duration of the glass. Aroma is caramel malts, straw, a hint of honey roasted nuts, and brittle, maybe a little spicy hops but almost no hops at all. Flavor is a bit more interesting, caramel malt, cashew brittle, toffee, cereal malts, spiced bread pudding with rasins, and some bitter, spicy and floral hops. Finish is quick and crisp with a little bitter and spicy hops and the caramel malts lingering. Body is light to medium and somewhat dry, carbonation is light and fine bubbles. I am not really familiar with this style but it is quite interesting for a light lager.

Bottle. Scent is nothing but malts, and not much at that. Pours to reddish-amber with little head. Taste is malt, a little honey, nuts, and a very light hop finish. Just carbonated enough to keep it interesting. This is a good beer, but nothing to wright home about. I don’t see myself making any trips to the store to pick this one up.

Flaske. Mørk ravfarvet øl. Klar maltduft med en anelse nød i. Klar maltsmag, med et forholdsvis forfriskende CO2 pust. Fin øl, men ikke min stil.

Dark reddish brown in color with a small head. The nose was malt, nuts, honey, and caramel. The taste had a bit more hops than I would have guessed, but it was a very pleasant surprise. The taste was malt, bark, burnt nut, and a little bitter caramel and raisin. The mouthfeel smooth on the tip of the tongue, with some kick in the middle, and then it goes down smooth. All around a very tasty and drinkable lager! I enjoyed it a LOT more than I expected!

355ml Bottle - Dark amber in colour with a small head. Slightly nutty and malty aroma with some toffee hints and a hint of aniseed. The taste is more hoppy than the aroma would suggest and it is hops combined with some toffee and caramel notes that are most noticeable along with a fruity element with some raisins and more aniseed in the finish. Not bad.

Dark coppery colored with medium sized yellow head. Nutty-caramelly aroma with fine hops, some licorice also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with caramel and bitterness, lemon comes up too. Aftertaste dries with lasting lemon.

From the bottled the beer poured a darker amber color with a thin white head and good carbonation. Very sweet fruitiness to the nose at first with some nice caramel malt and a slight nuttiness to follow. Flavor is heavy of caramel malt at first and flows into a nice sweet raisin tone which sticks for a bit after the beer is gone. Thin head sticks around throughout the tasting. Good beer to sit around and drink but nothing too special here.
