A bit of aroma, not too much, but some caramel malt in there. Tastes waaay too dry for me to enjoy, there are some decent hops and some maple syrup and caramel, but this is just way too dry to work with those flavors. Won’t buy this again. Very nice aroma,of toasted/burnt malt, with a slight tinge of hops. A nice big malt flavor of sweet, and toasted malt with a kind of boozy finish. I deem this a solid offering, and will buy again. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2008 Amber, coarse light beige head. Little syrupy and toasty aroma, little herbal hops, quite mild. Similar flavor, caramel malts, little alcohol, toffee, nice herbal finish. Maybe a hint of metal. Alright, toasty lager. Bragesnak (2257), Aarhus, Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Bottled. Dark amber-red body, thick fluffy off-white head Taste surprisingly full for an (american) lager, more like a bitter to me. The aroma if soapy with metallic scents. Good long, quite bitter finish jmm635 (263), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 4, 2008 Bottled. Obviously amber in color with a tan head. Malty aroma with a taste to match. I tasted a little caramel as well. Slightly sweet. Again, average beer from Flying Dog. ogivlado (3070), Zagreb, Croatia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Bottled(355ml). -Reddish pale amber coloured, small off-white head that went away fast leaving nice lace, sweet malty caramel nose. The taste is very similar, also sweet malty, caramel and light hoppy with notes of nuts and wood. Dry finish with touch of grapes. 5.3%.
