Pours a clear orange-amber with nearly no head. Light malty aroma, light hops. Tastes similar - buttery lager taste, malty, bland noble hops. Thin body, decent carb. Utterly boring.

Pours full amber with a 2 inch frothy tan head and has good, ful, mixed bubbling throughout the glass.. Aroma of malt and nut and some sweet spice. Flavor is strong malt, very nutty and a little sweetness. Body is medium/light and palate a little fizzy. The finish is a little too strong nutty and caramel malt.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with one finger tan head and spotty lacing. Nose is very light malt and that’s it. Taste is caramel and faint citrus with a mild bitter finish. Lighter mouth feel. Meh.

Nice copper brown reddish colour. Pale head. Mild nose with some hints of christmas cookies. Average hoppiness. Also some maltiness and fresh fruitiness. A 0.355L bottle.

Bottle: Poured a reddish with a off white head. Aroma is malty with a nice hop hint. Taste is sweet with malts but has that harsh bitter hop bite as well. Interesting to say the least.

Fruity malty nose with some sweetness, fruity malty taste with a hint of bitterness in the end. A nice california common, the best I have tasted yet, I can still easily understand if someone dislikes this, the buttery, somehow earthy notes make this a bit stramge.

Beatiful amber color with nice creamy head. Malty nose with a hint of roasted malts. Flavor is also quite malty with a hint of american hops. A rather good beer, and a refreshingly different type of lager than we Finns are tormented with.

Smells of unfermented malt, sweeter than expected. "Brewed in the steam style tradition" is a odd comment because I upon opening I was reminded of my tour of Anchor brewing. Far better than expected, lager yeast still under-preforms as a yeast, but this is a great example of the style. This is what I want from Sam Adams Boston Lager.
