Bottle, at home with renffisch, 25th June 2008. Dull amber with little aroma, just a bit of malt. The flavour is also rather dull and the weak palate doesn’t help. There’s an artificial sweetness too. Not good.

Bottle from By The Bottle--Dark amber-burnt sienna clear body with a three-finger off-white head. Nose of mild metallic, creamy, sweet pumpkin spiciness. Crisp, clean, grainy, chewy, mealy, cereal. Finished with a slight burnt, toasted gritty flavorful refreshment. Quite good!

bottle. buttery, sweet malty, almost "corny" nose. dark amber in colour, as the name might suggest, thick white rim. Oddly bitter sensation around the edge of the tongue, otherwise mallty and unexciting. long dry painfull mouthfeel. not impressed.

Poured amber with a simple head. Light body and thin mouthfeel, roasted malt and caramel flavor. Not as good a steam beer as the more common Anchor, in my opinion.

Mbè? Mah. Mbè? Mah. E allora? Mah.

Bottle: Of the beers I’ve had from Flying Dog, this one is their best everyday beer (IMO). It poured an amber color with small head. The aroma was somewhat sweet like caramel. The flavor was easy drinking, nice balance between light hops and light malt. Overall, a favorite of mine from this brewery.

Well... this pored very nicely and had beautiful color. It smelled a little hopped for what I am used to in an Amber. Either way, the aroma was pleasant. After tasting it I thought this is the perfect Amber for hop heads just not me.
