Caint say as I’ll miss Old Scratch as much but he was fine while he was around. Come from out Colorado way. Scratch was one of them mongrels - neither one thing nor th’other. Fella what sold him said he was a bit o’ this and a bit o’ that. Fella was right. Odd-looking crittur, Scratch. Tawny as a fox, with tufts of eiderdown up top. Sweet nature. Too damn sweet for my purpose, any road. I favor something with more bite. No bite in Old Scratch. Timid crittur. Depends what you want him for, I guess. Me, I didn’t have much use for him. Better homes elsewhere. Caint say I figured him out proper. But I’ll miss him some, Old Scratch. Yessim. (355ml bottle from IBS, Perth. BB 19/8/08) ekstedt (2439), Göteborg, Sweden

Clear amber with a small and short off-white head. Earthy and ode-dimensional malt aroma, weak hop profile. Light in body, ok mouthfeel. A bit sweet with moderate bitterness. Flawless but weak. jlf278 (255), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours with one finger white head. Nice amber color, looks great, but head fades fast. Subtle aroma, sweet bready. Taste is full of malt sweetness and a good hop bite. After a few gulps the hops subside, and the malty flavors are taken over by an unpleasant metallic taste and mouthfeel. The flavors battle for dominance and overall, I liked this beer. Perfect harmony of malts and hops. Very smooth as well with just the right bite at the finish. Very nice indeed, JensenTaster (1585), Denmark

Might have been a bed bottle, but there where Amber color and no head.some serious butterscotch about the aroma. The yeast are nowhere and the malts are pretty thin. Had this beer at a good temperature, so I guess I just diden´t like it joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 31, 2007 i might have gotten a bad bottle because nice caramel malt start with a light hop bitterness, as well as...plenty of buttery and green apple off notes. not to mention it smelled like pee. i want to hope it was a bad bottle a10555 (125), West Chester, Ohio, USA
