Aroma is caramel and a little grainy and also a touch of hops. Fairly smooth taste, mainly malt, almost medium body and almost excitable. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Nice amber color, pleasant sweet malty aroma, good malt flavor, mild hops. Dough77 (777), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Pours an easy gokden/amber pour with small white head. Nose of mild hop and malt flavors similar but actually comes across as a descent brew. Quite drinkable almost session like. norsedoc (162), USA

Great amber color. Small head. Malty, carmel aroma. Very drinkable beer, looks great in the glass. Otherwise, pretty boring and lacking a defining characteristic. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 5, 2007 12 oz. bottle from poolboy. Pour is amber copper with a not too much of a tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, maybe a touch of chemically grains. Taste is fuller bodied than I expected, considering this is a lager. Malt comes through in the taste, and really none of the chemically grain from the nose is present. This one is OK, though a little boring. I drank this one before looking at the site, and would not have guessed this was a California Common. Makes sense, I guess. Thanks Dale! dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours great amber/copper color. Off white head, small and filmy. Malty nose, a touch of hops. Sweet start in the back of the throat, then flavor opens up with a good dose of hoppiness near the end. Nothing crazy, just good flavor. I didn’t realize this was a Cali Common. That pulls a lot of things together for me. Pretty decent, and very drinkable.
