Aroma of caramel malt with mild grassy hop. Red tinged amber color with a white head that immediately ringed. Thin bodied with mild carbonation. The flavor is caramel malt with decent grassy bitter. The finish is slightly sweet, has a malt touch, and almost enough bitter to balance. All in all rather tasty, but quite different from Anchor Steam.

Clear amber color. Carmel aroma and front end taste, followed by a decent hop bitterness. Not much head.

bottle poured a dark red amber in color with a thin head that quickly became a layer on the surface. smell is malt, caramel, spicy hops, and toffee. taste is malt based, slight bitter from the hops, very smooth, with a medium mouth feel. good balance of hops spice and malt makes it not too much but very flavorful. from the label saying amber lager i did not know i would be having a California common, i think this may be my first.

Aroma of malt, carmel and hops was somewhat weak. Pours copper red with a quick diminashing off white head. Flavor is of malt up front with slight carmel coming through. Finishes with hops. Light bodied. A decent brew that reminds of Sam Adams minus some hops.

Sour banana nose. Pours deep amber with a solid, pale tan head. Flavour is richly malty but more of that sour banana comes through, and this detracts. Mouthfeel a little over-carbed, and all in all I didn’t take to it much.

Amber in colour, small brilliant white head. Mildly carbonated. The flavour is strong on malt. The aftertaste is a bit ?Sour? It’s a good clean beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear red-amber colour with a nice beige head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Sweet caramel flavour with malt, hops, bit sourish and slightly fruity. Dry and sweet finish.
