eraserhd10 (226), new haven, Connecticut, USA Nov 24, 2003 Bottle. Saturday Night in November. 7-ish. Unusually warm out. Getting ready to take date out to nice dinner. A thin, lazy (lacy) head tops a sleek, tasty-looking amber body. It smells faintly of vanilla with a hint of ginger. Full-bodied, sweet, citrus. Kudos to the near perfect balance of sweetness (malts) and bitterness (hops.) Also can taste a hint of woodiness or bark (pun intended!) Even a little bit of pumpkin. Then there's also bonus points for Steadman's impressive artwork! wade (58), Decatur, Georgia, USA Jun 9, 2000 Had this at a beer tasting, and remember being very impressed since I like very few lagers. Wish I could remember more details, so I plan on grabbing a 6 pack of this for more 'research'. wilkie (1006), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA May 4, 2003 Excellent. Malty aroma mixed with slight hoppiness. Very balanced malt flavors. Strong caramel flavor. Tastes more like an ale to me and the body is very heavy. Just the way I like it.
Lager_Love (65), Clinton, Missouri, USA Oct 22, 2006 Quite tasty with a full hoppy flavor and a smooth body with a welcome bite at the finish. Ron (670), Rochester, New York, USA Feb 5, 2002 A very good beer. Went down smooth with a pleasing aftertaste.
