Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of centuries old Scottish brewing methods, "Road" is reminiscent of a Porter. Road Dog is a rich, malty beer with hints of chocolate and licorice resulting from the use of four prized malts.

Bottle - Poured a clear brown in color with a small white head that faded to almost nothing. Aroma is malty with hints of dark roasted malts and prunes/dates. Flavor is smoky and fairly sweet with dark fruits and surprisingly strong of cherries. Finishes rather bitter and slightly astringent. An OK beer...

A clear dark brown colored beer, with a thick beige foamed head. The aroma of dark fruits like prune and cherry, dark mals. The taste is dry bitter, smoked malt with fruits like cherries. It is a little bit thin. The after tast is a little bitter.

Bottle from sampler. Pours dark brown with nice frothy head. Good lacing. Aroma was of sweet plum, toasted chocolate, and roasted malt. Upon tasting, I swear I went through the whole bottle not getting a good impression of this beer. I guess that says something. Body is too light for my liking. Flavor leaned sweet, with some apparent hop character.

Clear brown look with a small brown head. The aroma is roasted with notes of chocolate and toasted bread. Flavor is sweet malty with some standard beer bitterness. Light bodied, especiallly for a porter.

Bottle from Booze Bros. in Reno, NV. Poured a dark brown with almost no head. Tasted of coffee with toasted malts. A little on the thin side, but all in all a prettty good brew.

From a 12 oz bottle pours a dark brown - not quite black with a thin head that did not linger - minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, malts and toffee. Tasted a smokey hop with chocolate, some caramel as well as the hints of toffee. Seemed a little thinner and more carbonated than some other higher quality porters I have enjoyed. A decent beer. The label was the best part - got a chuckle from that.
