Almost medium bodied, slightly coarse carbonation. Alright, easy and light porter. cab (864), Denmark

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2008 Bottle @ OTTOfest in Oulu, Finland. Ruby brown beer with weak, blond beige head. Aroma is sweetish malty with dates, some rostedness and typical hop character for an american ale. Flavor has bready malts, some sour coffee beans and the medium bitter finish is slightly burned. Palate is a bit overly carbonated and medium bodied. Boring porter. porterhouse (1156), Alna, Maine, USA

Two fingers of rather lumpy tan head. Rather mild aroma of chocolate. Mouthfeel kind of fizzy, a bit thin although I understand that’s OK for the style (but still). Nice light rings of lacing. Flavor is sort of milk and dark chocolate-y but on the weakish side. Meek tasting. Nothing to write home about. Perhaps there’s the faintest hint of peat and hence the whole ’’Scottish porter’’ thing. Pours a really dark brown with a nice tan head. Not too strong of nose but the usual sweet, dark malty smells arise. Mouthfeel is medium with light carbonation. Taste is of mild toasty amlt, some sweetness, with a little alcohol on the end. The finish is short and sweet. Not bad. Hoping it was better but its hard to give a dark beer a bad rating. movezig (137), Pensacola, Florida, USA

Pours beautiful clear dark brown with a very light, extremely thin off-white head that all but disappears. Aroma is sweet with mild toasty malt. Flavor is sweet, toasty, and coffee. Decent balance of sweetness and bitterness. Light to medium body. Short sweet finish.
