| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Dark brown coior with a grainy off white thin head. Roasted malt is predominantly detected. Full bodied and too much carbonation. Roasted malt and some coffee flavors. Nothing great, not bad. Sour medium finish. crowderm (285), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Pours a thin dark brown with a practically non-existent head. Not much aroma here - a bit of sour licorice and roasty malts, but not much else. The licorice comes through in the taste as well, as does the roasted malt flavor. The palate is thin to the point of detracting from the overall experience. Overall there is nothing really offensive about this beer, it’s pretty good, but there is nothing remarkable about it. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Bottled. Clear redbrown color, short off-white head. Soft aroma of roasted malt, some coffee. Malty aroma, some chocolat and coffee, though very soft. Slight bitter. Not bad, but quite boring. princesslala (37), North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Not a whole lot of aroma on the pour. I smell a little sweet malt and a little espresso roastiness. It’s a dark brown porter with some nice ruby highlights and a quickly vanishing cream-colored head. Porter is one of my favorite styles and, no shit, this is not a great one. It is thin and watery--the carbonation level is okay. The flavor is a weak burnt malt and a splash of hoppy bitterness. beerbill (1985), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with a moderate cream colored head that disappeared after the frist sip. Weak aroma of lightly roasted malt and not much else. The flavor is fairly subdued with some lightly roasted malt up front and some light hops bitterness at the finish. Light bodied and a tad thin. Given the flamboyance of the label, I was expecting something far more adventurous. As it is, its ok, but not memorable. Enjoyit (1783), Vadum, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Black of color with a nice beige head. An aroma of roasted malt, prunes, chocolate and weak notes of smoke. A flavor of prunes, sweet notes, chocolate and port notes. BeerFanDan17 (628), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Bottle, pours near black with areas that are less dense. Nice frothy, but medium head. Flavors are roasted malts and caramel. Very smooth, but deserves a higher abv. kflorence (93), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Bottle, pours a dark brown/black with an aroma of chocolate, malts, roasted coffee and caramel. Tastes very toasted, slight flavors of coffee and chocolate with a dry hop finish. Very drinkable and tasty. Not the best porter out there, but definitely above average.
