Pours fairly dark but lets more light through than many porters. The head was a light brown color and disappeared quickly. The beer smells lightly of malt and cocoa. The beer tasted a little sour when it hi my mouth but quickly mellowed into a smooth, sweet flavor. This beer isn’t bad it is just a little thin looking, smelling, and tasting for a serious porter. For those who like their porters on the lighter side this might be a good bet.

Oct 6, 2008 Pours a deep ruby with a nice white head. Lots of malts on the nose. Roasted malts come through with the flavor as well as a touch of coffee. Finishes dry and clean. Pretty drinkable. Nice porter

Deep reddy brown, tiny off-white head. Cocoa powder aroma. Refreshing palate, pleasant carbonation. Fairly burnt taste. Long burnt finish. Decent hops, some raw fruity hop flowers detected. Fairly well balanced.
Tasty, but I feel I’ve tasted it many times before. Very easy to drink.
