hogan873 (195), Joliet, Illinois, USA May 27, 2008 Nearly black with a reddish hue. Slight white head that dissipates quickly but leaves decent lacing. Light aroma with chocolate, caramel, and malt evident. Both smooth and highly carbonated on the palate. The flavor is quite nice. Bitter chocolate, licorice, and malt. Just a hint of dry bitterness at the end. A good porter.

Deep reddy brown, tiny off-white head. Cocoa powder aroma. Refreshing palate, pleasant carbonation. Fairly burnt taste. Long burnt finish. Decent hops, some raw fruity hop flowers detected. Fairly well balanced.
Tasty, but I feel I’ve tasted it many times before. Very easy to drink. v8powered (25), , Nevada, USA Oct 4, 2008 A very light flavored porter. Roasted malt and coffee falvor with a dry finish. Pours dark with very little head. Good enough but not Flying Dog’s best...
