Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of centuries old Scottish brewing methods, "Road" is reminiscent of a Porter. Road Dog is a rich, malty beer with hints of chocolate and licorice resulting from the use of four prized malts.

Dark with ruby highlights with a dense white head. Aroma is of roasted coffee while flavor is caramel/coffee. Minimal hop bitterness with a nice pleasant mouthfeel.

A thin looking black with ruby highlights and a thin cover of light tan head that dissipates slowly but eventually leaves only a ring at the edge of the glass. Thin roasted malt aroma, some coffee and burnt toast. Taste is more nice roasted malts, a bit thin but the roasted coffee sneaks in at the end.

Dark opaque ruby, tiny but firm beige head. Roasted malty aroma, little cocoa, vanilla and hops. Roasted, mildly chocolatey flavor, some hops and dried fruits, liquorice in the finish. Subtle flavors, and maybe a tad metallic. Almost medium bodied, slightly coarse carbonation. Alright, easy and light porter.

Bottle @ OTTOfest in Oulu, Finland. Ruby brown beer with weak, blond beige head. Aroma is sweetish malty with dates, some rostedness and typical hop character for an american ale. Flavor has bready malts, some sour coffee beans and the medium bitter finish is slightly burned. Palate is a bit overly carbonated and medium bodied. Boring porter.
