lithy (361), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 17, 2008 A thin looking black with ruby highlights and a thin cover of light tan head that dissipates slowly but eventually leaves only a ring at the edge of the glass. Thin roasted malt aroma, some coffee and burnt toast. Taste is more nice roasted malts, a bit thin but the roasted coffee sneaks in at the end. austone (565), Turku; Pori, Finland Nov 15, 2008 Dark opaque ruby, tiny but firm beige head. Roasted malty aroma, little cocoa, vanilla and hops. Roasted, mildly chocolatey flavor, some hops and dried fruits, liquorice in the finish. Subtle flavors, and maybe a tad metallic. Almost medium bodied, slightly coarse carbonation. Alright, easy and light porter. cab (773), Denmark Nov 1, 2008 Bottle.355ml. Smells of sweet malt, some spice. Tastes earthy and roasty with some spicy hints. esox (128), Oulu, Finland Oct 29, 2008 Bottle @ OTTOfest in Oulu, Finland. Ruby brown beer with weak, blond beige head. Aroma is sweetish malty with dates, some rostedness and typical hop character for an american ale. Flavor has bready malts, some sour coffee beans and the medium bitter finish is slightly burned. Palate is a bit overly carbonated and medium bodied. Boring porter.
