Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of centuries old Scottish brewing methods, "Road" is reminiscent of a Porter. Road Dog is a rich, malty beer with hints of chocolate and licorice resulting from the use of four prized malts.

pours to a black dog, not to thin and easy to drink, malty beer, with very faint taste of chocolate malts, nice, refreshing after taste, good balance to it

Bottle at Claus’ b-day. Pours a dark brown wita a tanned head. Quite sweet and malty. Some aromas of roasted malts and some coffee and chocolate. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish with more aromas of roasted malts. Kinda boring. Could easily do with a bit more ’omph’.

Colour is deep ruby red with off-white head. Coffee and rich chocolate on the aroma, with coffee firstly in the taste then the chocolate and a hint of burnt notes. Not quite medium body, fairly smooth and easy enough to have a session on.

12 ounce bottle. Nice head lasts what seems like forever. Dark, like a porter should be, some coffee, malts, and a nice mouthfeel. Nice job.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick lasting head with minimal lacing, over a light, clear brownish body.....nose of coffee then chocolate malts....tastes primarily of malts with coffee roasting overtones...mild and rather light mouth feel. Pleasant, but I would not seek it out. 11/27/2008

Medium light brown with a tthin, wispy foam that quickly disappears. Aroma of cocoa powder and hops. Raisins, hops and cocoa powder are evident in the flavor. Thin, dry body that is a little too carbonated. A drinkable beer.
