Sweet citrus initial flavor with a sharp bitter finish. A medicinal aftertaste lingers. Syrupy texture and lacking carbonation. A different take on the style that just isn’t for me. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Not off to a good start. Just a shipment of FG beers direct from the USA (believe it or not this is unusual.....most US micros come via Rotterdam) but so far the beers have lacked spark. This is low key IPA, at least to my tastes, and definitely low key for a US interpretation. So, low obvious hop impact but I like the balance and the smooth bitter finish is nice. Herbal hops pick up late in the palate but not enough kick to stop me asking for more. mouse725 (74), Albany, New York, USA
