12oz bottle: Amber color with a small off white head. Grapefruit and flowery aroma. Sweet citrus initial flavor with a sharp bitter finish. A medicinal aftertaste lingers. Syrupy texture and lacking carbonation. A different take on the style that just isn’t for me.

Nice copper color with a foamy off white head. Intense aroma of sweet fruitcocktail in syrup. Smooth fruity flavor with a pleasant finishing bitterness. Wellbalanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Not off to a good start. Just a shipment of FG beers direct from the USA (believe it or not this is unusual.....most US micros come via Rotterdam) but so far the beers have lacked spark. This is low key IPA, at least to my tastes, and definitely low key for a US interpretation. So, low obvious hop impact but I like the balance and the smooth bitter finish is nice. Herbal hops pick up late in the palate but not enough kick to stop me asking for more.

Not bad from a 12btl mix pack. Decently "sweet" hops that stay with you throughout- nice that it’s not a watery IPA. Drinkable.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 4/2/09

Aroma: Citrus fruits
Appearance: Copper color, thin/medium head
Flavor: Pine/Earthy malts, citrus sweetness, and a huge hop bitterness
Palate: Nice mouthfeel, drinks pretty well
Overall Impression: Its really hoppy with quite a bit of citrus, a good example of the IPA style for sure.

Smells of citrus and earthy hops. Collor is golden brown. Tastes of citrus and pale malts. Mouthfeel is light bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation. Flying Dog’s Snake Dog Iis a well balanced IPA that is smooth and finishes well.
