Good fresh piney hoppy nose, plenty of grapefruit zest, flowers, resin and slight pee. Balanced flavor; pine, herbal hops, faint liquorice and caramel with lingering resiny bitterness. Medium bodied, lush strongly carbonated palate. Typical, but definitely enjoyable. tlind2 (604), Helsinki, Finland

Very nice malty aroma with plenty of hops and some fruitiness. The flavour is malty and slightly sweet at first, but citrus fruits and piny hops quickly take over. Long bitter aftertaste. Medium-bodied and smooth, a little sticky. An excellent beer! Brandman (95), Helsinki, Finland

Light pale yellow head. Hops are really strong in the taste. In short, excellent beer. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

Dark golden beer with decent, sticky head. Very nice nose, plenty of floral and citrus hopping. Flavor brings a touch of sweetness than a big dose of tongue-coating bitterness. A little thick and sticky but still lively. A little drier in the finish, with a long bitter aftertaste. Nice aroma but too sticky and bitter to be refreshing. Martinus (19), Nijmegen, Netherlands

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Pours the color of a hazy weak tea with a pitted off-white head. The nose is a subtle blend of fruity/citric hops and caramel malt. Medium-bodied and creamy with a moderately bitter finish. The flavor is of fruity, citric and lightly piny hops and sweet caramel malt, finishing with a fairly tight, bitter finish. I like this newer recipe a heckuva lot more than I did the old Snake Dog. This is a solid brew, and it’s pretty sessionable for 7.1% ABV; that could be a dangerous combo. ;) Gmku (254), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

Again, as with many IPAs, I find myself wanting just a little more in the body, but compared to many others, this is full-bodied. Hops are citrusy, piney, grassy, slightly lemony.
