355 ml bottle. Finland. Amber colour with thin white head. Fruity and tempting hoppy aroma. Flavour is hoppy. A bit warming alcohol. I like this.

(Bottled) Clear amber with a small, firm head with some lace. Pine-resiny aroma with citrus, some honeyish maltiness, and hints of alcohol. Pine-citrusy-hoppy flavor with ok backing maltiness - but not as balanced as the old version, and some stinginess also. Long, dry and moderately bitter finish. Hides the alcohol. Medium body, but thinner than the old one, with quite low carbonation. Unfortunately, now that we got this one back, they changed the recipe for worse.

Nice cloudy pour, with some lacing on glass. Smells of citrus, flowers, pine and a nice earthyness. Taste is crisp and refreshing pretty average ipa, well balanced and good overall brew.

Bottle from mix 12-pack, five weeks old. Rocky, slumpy foam caps the whisky-hued beer, and each sip spells cryptic lace runes. Dank woody/’shroomy hop scents folowed by lemon/lime and breadcrust malt. Halfway through the glass I detect additional rose petal, mango and sweet grainy corn aromas... overall, smells similar to Clipper City Loose Cannon. Initially, almost-sweet flavor, tart lemon, piney-minty bitterness. Again over time, taste evolves toward bready yeast, treebark bitter, and tonic water, plus a big splash of whoop-ass grain alcohol. Soapy. Full, doughy palate. Sort of an unsweetened chocolate and catty/rubbery aftertaste. Harsher and less fruity than the pre-’08 recipe.

Cask at ’Coles & Mr. Goodbar Cask Event’, Buffalo, NY. Pours a cloudy dark orange-copper with a spare diminishing white head. Slightly mild aroma of citrusy hops backed by caramel malt. Flavour, like the aroma, is mildly hoppy, backed by caramel malt and has a decent bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Not bad, I didn’t love it but it’s good.

A 12oz bottle pours a nice orange copper color with a nice white head. Very hoppy aroma with citrus scents and pine. Nice grapefruity flavor and the hops are very prominent. Some pine and grassy taste round out this solid IPA. I enjoyed this beer quite a bit.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Lots of piney resin aroma. Pine flavour, too, but there is a full and smooth malty body that balances the beer very well. Lovely.

12 fl. oz. bottle, now available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.1%. Clear orange colour, moderate white head. Pleasant fruity and sweetish aroma of American hops, distinct notes of citrus and blackcurrant leaves, also moderate notes of malts and toffee. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout (as expected from an American IPA), but the hoppiness is not overdone, which means that the bitterness is firm but not harsh. Furthermore, unlike many other IPAs this one is not too sweet, and seems pretty well balanced altogether. Definitely a beer I’ll buy again.
