23/10/2009. Stubbie from Hashigo Zake. Clean, dry, strong pale ale that tastes much less than 7%, has a resinous pine and citrus hop character, a good cushion of sappy malt, and a resounding long bitter finish. Very long.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Langnes. Amber colour, with floral and citrus aroma and the flavour initially gives the same impression, then you notice some caramel, pomegranate and hints of cardamom and coriander. Soft citrus finish. (At home 12.Oct.09)

Bottle bought at the bierkoning. Clear amber/orange in color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is light but rather loaded with citrus and floral hops. Slightly sweet as well. Flavor is floral and peppery at the beginning with hints of grassy hops, bitter apple peels, and a bitter citrus flavor. Finishes dry and bitter and lingers on the tongue for a bit.

Taster at Great Lost Bear - Poured a golden amber in color with a small white head. Aroma is quite hoppy (citrus), but there is just a hint of some malt (caramel). Flavor was pretty much the same... citrus/grapefruit hops with some caramel malts to balance it out. A good, but pretty ordinary IPA.

Pours golden with a thin white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, grapefruit, malt, and a little pine. Drinks like your typical IPA, hoppy, fruity, and sticky. Noticed a slight metallic aftertaste. Not bad, a solid IPA. Could use some more complexity and imagination.

Wonderful heady orange hue pour. Big citrus nose, which unfortunately does wane after time. Taste is reasonably balanced for the style, with sweet malt and grassy and citric hops. Solid and dependable, If a tad predictable.

Awful beer. Not much of anything. Hoppy go figure, citrus maybe, but you’re pushing it.
