jstraw (435), Oak Park, Illinois, USA May 9, 2008 Clear amber with good, creamy off-white head / Mild fresh pine nose / Light to medium body, with subdued malts, more pronounced fresh hops, with good finish / Flavors of fresh cut pine, flowers, burnt sugar and grapefruit / A good, solid ipa.
mmm///beer (530), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 30, 2008 12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured transparent copper, low-medium carbonation, half finger white head formed and tried it’s best to lace. Aroma of grapefruit, hard malt, and scattered hops. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is nice but nothing to rob a train for, very mild in the middle- kind of like the beer went to sleep, finish has nice acidic bite from hops. If only the middle was stronger... it would be an great beer. But it’s still above average... DrDavid (157), , Vermont, USA Aug 29, 2008 (Bottle). Citrusy aroma, somewhat sweet. Light orange-amber color, thin white head. Nice citrusy flavor, sweeter than other IPAs. Finish is not as dry as expected, disappears too soon. Overall pleasant, but different. evilsoc (145), Wales Aug 29, 2008 Coppery amber fairly white head. Aroma of lemon, elderflower, herbal, sweet paprika, coriander, alcohol. Biscuity piney flavours with coriander and a puckering slightly astingent bitterness at the back of the palate. Im surprised by both the IBU count and the ABV which I think it a complement. Good lacing. This brewery holds a special place for me but I wouldnt rave about this beer. Matches well with indian food. Theis (2039), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2008 Draught at ĜLbaren. Clear dark amber - white head. Resin, flowery, fruity, malty sweetness, grassy, freshness, flowery, grape.... all that fantastic hoppyness, caramel. Nice. IrishBoy (2124), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 26, 2008 12 oz bottle from GM Liquors; Nose of citrusy, flowery hops, and light caramel; clear copper-orange with a medium off white head; flavor is caramel, hop bitterness, and some grape fruit.
