Flavor is a little astringent with some citrus and a malty backbone. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this one. Cybercat (784), Georgia, USA

Pours a pretty orangy amber; the white head is not thick and does not persist. Aroma is hoppy, not complex or strong (but my nose was a little stopped up and may have missed something). Flavor is smooth, quite hoppy with some malt undertones and little bitterness. Finish is hoppy and pleasant. Stew41 (1049), Caulfield, Australia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Bang on target in the looks and smells department; rusty orange, dead clear, thin creamy head, and a big whafting layer of hoppy fruit aromas. Flavours are a bit one dimensional with very linear hoppy bitterness, perhaps a bit sharp and rough, but holds my interest nevertheless. A nice sliver of fruity hops drives a decent finish. $8 per bottle in Australia - I wonder what the street price is in the US? BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2008 [Bottle shared with svoger.] Nice american IPA over average to many others, but compared to other americans it’s just mainstream. BelgianBeerGal (1283), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Bottled. Golden ruby colour with a thin tan head and medium lacing. Strange aroma for IPA of caramel and cotton candy. Flavour was grapefruit hoppy, a little pine but the finish was flat bitterness and hung on forever. a10555 (124), West Chester, Ohio, USA

This has a nice start but then finishes like I’ve woke up the morning after drinking and am tasting all that stuff from the night before over again. Stay away. hammerbeck (101), Kentucky, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 24, 2007 From a bottle. Pours a light copper/amber color. Smell of floral hops. I usually love IPAs but somethin about the aftertaste of this IPA didn’t sit right with me. The initial flavor is great but the finish just tasted off to me...I had a few of these and the same thing for every one. Other than that, a decent brew. Overall a decent IPA, far from the best though.
