Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 23, 2007 From a 12-oz. bottle purchased at Johns Marketplace in PDX--Poured a clear copper-amber body with a thick off-white head that left a beautiful lacing in the glass. Nose of floral sweet hops and mild malts. Sharp bitter mouth feel. Finished fruity and piquant. Not a lot of malt balance, but a very nice sessionable IPA> JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 23, 2007 Clear orange-amber beer; huge, very dense & fine head, slightly amberish coloured. Superb hoppy nose, C-hops, orange marmalade, pickles. Hops, oranges, sweet-hoppy, enfin, all the classics. But. My first and main remark is: this is a good beer. With bottle refermentation, it might be GREAT. THEN WHY ISN’T IT? Medium bodied, slickness, hop oils on the aftertaste. See the above remark: stop pasteurizing! WillieV (191), Maryland, USA Dec 22, 2007 Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a thick white head. Aroma is sweet with a good helping of hop. Taste is dead on for an IPA nothing really overly done on it smooth finish with a slight aftertaste. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Dec 20, 2007 Light coppery body with compact but lasting head. Pleasant hop aroma which carries well through to the taste, a good IPA but not outstanding. TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Dec 19, 2007 Not a bad IPA! Sweet hoppy smell and sweet hoppy taste. My third of the variety pack, and still gonna keep em coming to rate, take that colin motha fuckin t. vmilaxer29 (144), Virginia, USA Dec 18, 2007 a very strong tasting ipa that hits nicely, definitily need a taste for lots of hops. i would recommened it. tomthompson89 (1456), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 17, 2007 hazy copper color, good amount of foam that disapears quick. nose of faint floral hops but not too strong, flavor is nice and dry floral hops, kinda earthy malts refreshing a good quencher. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Dec 17, 2007 Aroma is mostly floral. Pours a lightly hazy gold. Flavor is pretty clean and somewhat under whelming. Notes of perfumey hops, pine, a little earth, and light caramel malt. I would call this an introductory IPA, as it would be a nice one to start getting used to the somewhat acquired taste of hoppy beers. Finishes clean. Is pleasant.
