BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Oct 5, 2007 From bottle : Pours a semi-dark amber gold color that is kinda hazy, with a small white fizzy head that disipates quickly. A nose of floral hops and a little malt, but the aroma is kinda faint compared to other IPAs. Flavor is as expected with a IPA, hoppy, cant get much malt out of it. Palate medium is a nice sharp bitter bite toward the end on the back of the tongue. Not bad. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 3, 2007 Amber color with nice aromatic head. Noble hops aroma and flavor throughout. Malty base is nice and balanced. A nice IPA. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Oct 1, 2007 Bottle. Alc. 4.7%. Clear medium amber color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (260807) Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark Sep 30, 2007 Cobber of color with a off-white head. An aroma of pines, hops and notes of malt. A flavor of hops, pines and grape. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Sep 29, 2007 Bottle from Bottles of York. Much better than the classic pale ale. Upfront citric floral hops which are well backed up by malt in the body which fades to allow the bitterness to shine in the finish. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Sep 29, 2007 355ml brown bottle. Pours deep gold colour, well formed head, two fingers worth of creamy foam. Leaves sparse patchy lacework in the tulip glass. Grapefruit in the aroma, soft malt sweetness. Caramel malt start, grapefruit hopped middle, finish is bitter with more grapefruit and pine. Long hoppy aftertaste. Medium body. Nicely hopped, balanced IPA, good drinkability. Don’t know why I waited so long to try this. Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA Sep 25, 2007 Not a bad IPA. Very floral hops. Not as strong as some IPA’s. Amber with a thick white head. Definite pine and some grapefruit. It has the hops, but is not unsettling. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Sep 25, 2007 Deep gold/light amber beer with a bubbly off-white head. Chinook is strong in the aroma with delicious pine and tobacco, and also some roses noted. Hops are in charge of the flavour too - there is just enough malt to balance the bitterness, it never gets sweet in any way. Bitterness and hop flavour is noticed from the first impression to the lasting aftertaste. That’s my kind of IPA.
