Commercial Description:
Snake Dog is a traditional IPA, brewed with imported English Maris Otter pale malt and Golding Hops. Dry hopped with Chinook and Golding hops, contributes to the fruity-floral hop aroma characteristics of this IPA.

Amber with a small off-white head. Hop aroma with pine and a developing background of sweet caramel. The caramel also present in the taste, with some orangey fruit, but the whole rather swamped, in my opinion, by the sharp hoppiness.

From a 12 oz bottle this poured a rich and very clear deep amber with a thick off-white head that left great lacing. Nose is seriously hoppy and full of citrus odors. Mourthfeel rich and clean. Flavors of caramel malts nicely balanced with the citrus hops. Good bitter finish. Excellent IPA.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a decent amber-yellow color with slight head. Has a decent hoppyness but almost a wit like aftertaste. Not too bad but not my idea of an IPA.

A Mes rate: 355ml bottle from Quaff. Dry hoppage shows up pretty well and makes it pretty good in the nose with the underlying Marris Otter pretty clear too. Nice mid amber colour. What balences well in the aroma just doesnt seem to gel right in the mouth. Very bitter and citric with something oddly sweet about it too. Interesting but not overly impressive.

Bottle. Amber color with a nice white head. Strong aroma with hops and citrus notes. Medium body with a bitter and citrus flavor. Bitter palate with strong notes of hops and a light citrus note.
