Flying Dog Snake Dog IPA (through 2007)

Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma is subdued, citrus and flowers. Taste is much the same, subdued. This needs some more strength to be really good.

Orange/Amber color. Little white head. Not much aroma, mostly florall and citrus notes. Lackluster flavor, not bad, just nothing to write home about. I’d drink this again for sure, but it’s not a favorite. Overall: Decent IPA.

Draft. Nice gold color with very little head. Wonderful hoppy aroma and flavor. Pretty good mouthfeel too. I liked this one a lot.

Bottle. Bright orange. No head. Hoppy, sweet, a little spicy, with orange peel residual. Bitter bite at the end. Sampled @ American Beer Fest in Boston

Copper pour with a 1 finger white head and some nice lacing. Great pine and floral aroma with earthy malt and some tropical fruit notes. Lots of bitter pine flavor upfront with a balance of topical fruit and sweet chewy malts in the finish. Medium body with a nice creaminess to it. I’ve gotten to be a little jaded after drinking so many ipa’s lately but this stands out. Lots of great hop character without going over the top for the style.

bright and clear amber-bronze colour with a big creamy pale beige foam; solid flowery hoppiness with notes of cream and mango, quite full malt body and with a robust bitterness; moderately dry and long bitter hoppy finish - deeply drinkable and pleasant

ARoma of citrus and hops, with a little malt. Pours is copper with white head. Slightly bitter with floral hops, malt, and a hint of caramel. Another sub-par beer from flying dog.

(ABV 4.7%) Coppery colored, medium sized yellow head. Aroma is rich with nice flowers and slight perfumy tones, bitter hops dominating. Medium bodied, rather full for 4.7%. Flavor is also intense with dominating flowery hops, lemon and some caramel. Aftertaste is strong and lasting with bitterness. Good balanced IPA.
