Notes: Another well crafted beer from Flying Dog. plovmand (1590), Helsinge, Denmark May 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with medium white head. Good hoppy aroma with fresh fruits and grass dominating. Flavour is hoppy too but it lacks the freshness. Dry bitter end. Defreni (994), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 24, 2008 Flaske. DWestrick (235), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA May 22, 2008 Bottle. Not quite as tasty as I hoped. Amber with hops and citrus. Getting to used to the higher gravity IPA’s so this lacked some zing. It was good, but not overly impressive. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA May 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a thick white head. Has a fruity hoppy aroma, taste is pleasantly flowery and goes down easy. Pretty good. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA May 14, 2008 Amber with thin lacy white slowly diminishing head. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, caramel and sweet malts. Taste is of citrus hops with overpowering bitter finish. In between it’s a little fruit with a malty backbone. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA May 13, 2008 2007 bottle judging by the label. Held up well if so. Pours a dark golden color with 2 finger head and great lacing. Nose is floral, fruity hops and malt. Palate is citrus, pine and sweet malt with a resin finish. Medium mouth feel. Not a bad brew, especially if this is a year old. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA May 11, 2008 More fruity and less hoppy than the later version. Although, this is probably because the bottle has some age on it. Slightly darker color with better head. More enjoyable than the later version, but still a long way from the best IPA i’ve had.
