jhliesen (403), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Sep 29, 2006 Bottle-A copper color beer with a medium head. Solid amount of hops in the aroma and taste. Citrus flavors abound with that grapefruit bite. Solid IPA for us without a giantic hop head. LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 25, 2006 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a small amount of tan bubbles that mostly dissipate, except for the edges. Aroma is of hops, fruit and flowers. Taste is mostly bitter with some subtle sweet notes of light fruit and caramel. Bitter ending. jrmac (210), USA Sep 22, 2006 Wow one of the few IPAs I can actually enjoy. This was a lot smoother then I was expecting. A lot of IPAs are too carbonated for my taste, but this one was just right. drainey (231), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 21, 2006 An average IPA with a decent hop presence and a bit of malty sweetness. A nice session beer, but not worth going out of your way for. Mumpu (46), USA Sep 17, 2006 Pours hazy amber with a dense white head. There is an unpleasant medicinal note in the aroma and the flavor that persisted across several bottles (an odd hop flavor, not skunked beer). Otherwise an unremarkable IPA. iskirwan1 (66), monument, Colorado, USA Sep 17, 2006 pours a light copper body with a off white yellowish head.has a strong hop and oily smell.starts with a hoppy oil taste with banna and carmel notes but they are very small.finshes pretty clean.all in all not a real ipa more or less a apa but still a very good brew PHXHOPLOVER (50), LAVEEN, Arizona, USA Sep 13, 2006 This is one of my favorite ipas. Pours orange, slightly hazy. Leaves nice lace all down the side of the glass. Perfect level of smooth bitterness. Just enough body so it isnt too dry. This beer is all about hop flavor! I love the hop flavor here. I was so happy to see that you have the hop varieties they use here so i can use these hops in my beer!! It says this is a traditional ipa, but it seems more American to me. Very west coast hop profile. porterhouse (1148), Alna, Maine, USA Sep 12, 2006 (Bottle from Glen Beverage (NH)) Pours hazy amber/orange with about 1" of biscuit head that recedes to a somewhat globby cap as it warms. Aroma mostly flowery hops with some light caramel behind it. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, medium-bodied. Sloppy patches and rings of lacing. Flavor is fairly bitter with some caramel underneath. Finishes with some floweriness. Bitter lingering aftertaste. A little rough, but pretty good.
