chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 11, 2006 A bit muddled with pine, citrus, carmel counterpoint, but decent hops and dryness. Not a big bitter bite but far more IPA than APA. Similar to Big Sky IPA but not as good. Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Sep 10, 2006 Thin fluffy head of rather large bubbles. Very good carbonation. Reduces to a sticky sloppy bit of lace. Bitter iced tea aroma with some light malts and some floral hops. Color is a light orange. Hoppy but thin flavor. Little malts and some orange. Kind of bland. Finish is hoppy and bitter. Kind of a sickly sweet aftertaste though. Not a very good IPA. Phatz (225), Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2006 Appearance: Pours a light golden color with an off-white head.
Smell: Toasty caramel malt aroma with sugar, yeast and a hint of wood and a mixture of spices.
Taste: Zingy hop flavor with a significant citric character, but less so than many others. It is an enjoyable tasty flavor that is a bit more approachable than bigger IPAs; I guess you could pretty much describe this beer as moderate all the way around.
Mouthfeel: Light but tingly. Decent.
Drinkability: There are no big fireworks with this beer but it is easy drinking.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!
frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Sep 2, 2006 A large, off-white head settles rocky over a bright, golden/orange body. Juicy hop aromas are lemon & pine, rather sweet with a touch of spicy rye and a general feeling of powdered instant tea. Flavor is a cozy melange of sweet, sour and bitter and the whole of it is balanced and well-tempered by malts. There is a touch of nuttiness to a base of bitter tea before a finish that is bitter and citric. Light stickiness and mid-bodied weight. This is the kind of IPA that I could drink all day.

Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 1, 2006 Bottle. Crisp but not harsh with a floral, hoppy aroma. This IPA is quite simple. Pale malt, hops, dry hops, no frills at all. Honey textured palate with a comfortably bitter finish. Thus we have a clean, drinkable, refreshingly bitter and and flavorful brew that is hardly challenging...perfect to drink after, say, a difficult night at work, etc. ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2006 Updated: Jan 2, 2007Has a wonderful strong bite at first, which gives way to a crisp refreshing finish. Has a belgian strong flavor to it. I like this brew. dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Aug 29, 2006 Bottle. Clear amber with a foamy head. Major hop aroma, likely the golding hops. Sharp hop body, almost like sucking on pine needles. Not enough malt to balance the hops on this one. grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Aug 25, 2006 Strong caramel smell, some spice and floral. Sweet, a bit of a tartness. Not very bitter.
